michael seitz (guitar, psaltery, bass)
ando proffitt (vocals)
markus eschmann (percussion)
uli becker (flutes, clarinet, accordeon, mandolin)

michael probably plays one of the oldest and least known instrument in the world: the psaltery.

the development of the psaltery can be traced back around 3.000 years. however, michael’s version is completely and utterly different.

his special instrument, the guitarpsalter which he recently developed in cooperation with christian stoll, enables him to play both the guitar and psaltery at the same time. with this unique instrument, he creates a new, orchestral sound.

michael's music is a fresh combination of well composed songs and great spontaneous interplay between him and markus. accompanied by bass and vocals they create interesting sound textures, integrating many styles from jazz to classic, folk music and soul. the music takes the listener on a journey full of beautiful pictures.

very positive reviews by "deutschlandradio" (jazz night) and "hessischer rundfunk" (hr3, volker's kramladen) have already produced much feedback. quote: "the michael seitz project is worth listening to".
